Regional Academy Programs

Regional Academy

The Regional Academy is an exceptional opportunity that allows high school students to explore post-secondary specialized programs of study in high demand career fields. Student cohorts from across the region meet daily on the VWCC campus to complete course work that meets the foundational requirements for degree programs often while completing a VWCC Career Studies Certificate or industry credentialing examinations.
BCPS students currently participate in the Engineering, Interdisciplinary Science, and Health Science programs offered through VA Western's Regional Academy.

Information about each particular program can be found here:

Health Science Students:
Students have the opportunity to earn an Associate of Science degree through the Health Science program. There are specific required courses for this degree, so students are encouraged to stay in close contact with their VWCC Academic Advisor to make sure they stay on track.
