BCPS Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)

 

 

 

Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) Business Meeting

Date: March 4, 2021

 

Time: 6:00-7:30 pm

 

Location: School Board Administration Office

143 Poor Farm Road

Fincastle, VA  24090

 

 

The Botetourt County Special Education Advisory Committee functions to advise the school division of needs in the education of children with disabilities. In addition, the SEAC assists in the development of long-range plans, priorities, and strategies for meeting the identified needs of children with disabilities. The SEAC is comprised of parents of students with disabilities, representatives of local agencies, community members, and school representatives. 

 

Special Education Advisory Committee meetings are open for public access. Public comments can be received at the meeting or ahead of time by emailing, Karen Turner, Supervisor of Special Education, at kturner@bcps.k12.va.us.  The SEAC public comment form can be found on the BCPS website.
