LBHS Mask Opt-Out Form

LBHS Mask Opt-Out Form
Posted on 02/08/2022

The Botetourt County School Board has decided that parents may elect to opt-out their students from the requirement to wear masks while in school, effective Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

Federal mandate still requires students to wear masks while accessing transportation provided by the division, regardless of vaccination status or masking choice while at school.  Students who return from a 5-day isolation or quarantine period will be required to wear a mask for days 6-10, including during athletics and/or extracurricular activities.

If you would like to opt your child out of wearing a mask while at Lord Botetourt High School please complete this form.  This form only needs to be completed by parents wishing to opt-out their child out from the requirement to wear a mask while in school. Please complete a separate form for each child enrolled at LBHS.  If you have a child at another BCPS school please visit the BCPS Mask Opt-Out page (please be sure to use the appropriate form for each school).

If you would prefer to print, complete, and submit a hard copy of the Mask Opt-Out Form we have attached it here.

Families are reminded to continue to perform self-checks each day for signs and symptoms of illness before reporting to school.  Students should remain at home and contact school officials if signs of illness are present, if there is a suspected exposure to COVID-19 in the community, or if the child or a family member is being tested for COVID-19.
