PTSA

Who We Are:
The PTSA is a volunteer organization of families, students, teachers, and administrators devoted to the educational success of children and the promotion of family engagement at Lord Botetourt High School. Our current board is comprised of the principal, a faculty representative, two student representatives, and fifteen parent representatives. The organization is funded by monies collected from membership dues ($7 per person), 50/50 raffle ticket sales at home football games, corporate initiatives like Kroger Cares and Amazon Smiles, and community sponsors that help with events such as After Prom.

What We Do:
The PTSA seeks to support the staff at LBHS and enrich student’s education by hosting hospitality events for teachers, providing seniors with scholarship opportunities, granting teacher wish lists, hosting an After-Prom event (that is absolutely a CAN’T MISS gathering for juniors/seniors), providing parent representation at school board meetings, and organizing the Reflections contest, which focuses on the arts and awards cash prizes. This year’s PTSA president is Christine Broughton.  She can be reached at
ChristineBroughton@comcast.net with any questions, concerns, or feedback.

·        After Prom 2018 is April 28th.  The theme is “Let’s Glow Cavs!” which will be a glow in the dark and blacklight party hosted at LBHS for juniors and seniors and their dates after prom festivities conclude.  The party is free to students!  Our committee has already been planning, and we need your help! If you are willing to help with the preparations, set up, take down, and the night of the event, we will find a place for you! Please respond by emailing Melanie Leweke at melanie1982@comcast.net and let us know how you want to help. Below is a list of sponsorship opportunities with due dates of Feb. 1 and March 1.  Thank you!

We have also mailed businesses and organizations in the area for donations (please see the attached fundraising letter).  All students will receive a t-shirt that “glows” when entering the event.  It will be a hot ticket item!  We have three levels of t-shirt sponsorship as follows:

1.     $500    Business Logo will appear at the top of the tshirt back.
      Business banner
